Amptec will start with a series of educational seminars on different topics for pro audio engineers. The first seminar is a Live mixing training, and takes place Thursday 25th September, at Amptec’s seminar room. This seminar is meant for the beginning sound engineers, but a basic experience is required. For example, knowledge about a mixing console. The instructor for this training is Patrick ‘Duim’ Demoustier, well-known live engineer at PRG EML Productions with more than 25 years of experience (e.g. The Simple Minds). A small overview of topics that will be dealt with: - Preparation, timing, microphone techniques, - Mixing consoles, - How to build-up a mix, - Live mixing vs studio mixing, - Concerts vs festivals, - db limits, levels, - Theory and lots of practice on digital consoles with original recordings. This training will be given in English. Schedule: 10.30 - 13.00: training part 1 13.00 - 14.00: lunch 14.00 - 16.30: training part 2 Location: Amptec seminar room Admission fee: 120€ (lunch and refreshments included).
