DESIGN YOUR OWN FLOATING THEATRE

Welcome to Theatre Architecture Competition (TAC), the top international competition that showcases the most creative ideas of theatre architecture! 

Design your own Floating Theatre that to be moored on Spree River in Berlin and join the 9th TAC in 2015 to win the best prizes of €5,000, €2,500 and €1,000. Submit your design by March 27 and showcase your creativity to the world!

Organised by OISTAT Architecture commission and DTHG (OISTAT German Centre), TAC2015 finalist Exhibition is to be held on June 9-11 & Award Ceremony on June 9 at Stage|Set|Scenery. 

Stage|Set|Scenery, organised by Messe Berlin GmbH and DTHG, is an international trade fair for theatre planning, film, stage, lighting, audio, make-up & costume design and video & media engineering. Stage|Set|Scenery 2015 will feature more than 180 exhibitors around the globe with supporting programs, including costume workshops, sound lab, media and technology seminar, architecture conference and Theatre Architecture Competition Exhibition.The International Stage Technology Conference will present a round table session among stage managers, and focus on state-of-the-art stage management technology. 

About TAC2015

The Theatre Architecture Competition  (TAC), organised by OISTAT Architecture commission, is a quadrennial international competition, aimed at students and emerging architects and practitioners to showcase their innovation of future theatre architectures.

More than 25 finalists will be selected by the TAC international jury to exhibit at Stage|Set|Scenery on June 9-11. All selected designs will also be included in an electronic brochure downloadable from Stage|Set|Scenery and OISTAT websites.

How to Submit Your Works?

Please download TAC Entry Form from TAC2015 Website and complete it.

Document Submission:

1. Please include the required documents* and the Entry Form in a .zip file
   *See Competition Brief - Item 2 for required documents.
2. Name your .zip file as: 6-digit code of your choice_ your last name
   Example: 576124_Smith
3. Send your .zip file to archcom@oistat.org through WeTransfer or HighTail or other file transfer services.**
4. Do NOT send your files in emails. 

**If you need to send multiple zip files, please separate them and identify each at the end of each .zip file

Example:
576124_Smith_01,
576124_Smith_02

Payment Submission:

1. Go to TAC Submission page.
2. Enter your 6-digit code (the code should be identical with your file name) in PayPal box
3. Click “Buy Now”
4. Submit €50 (Euro) entry fee with your PayPal account or pay with credit card

If you do not have access to PayPal, please contact archcom@oistat.org.

A confirmation letter will be issued after BOTH payment and documents are completed before the deadline.
