After a very successful first training on Live mixing for beginning engineers, Amptec now organizes a workshop on monitor mixing for beginning engineers. This hands on training takes place Tuesday 9th December, at Amptec’s seminar room.
The workshop will be given by Peter Vandergoten, graduated as bachelor in electro-mechanics. He’s an all-round audio technician with experience at several broadcasters, and started his “rock & roll carreer” at EML/PRG. Since some years he combines ownership of 4EARS, an audio mixing and production company, with production management for ONE-CALL GROUP.

Some of the topics we discuss Expectations of the band, microphone positioning, event location, division of tasks, line/sound-check, tuning a wedge, psychology of monitoring, attitude of the monitor mixer, influence of mic position for the monitor engineer, fx, compression, stage monitor vs iem mixes, panning, ...
A basic knowledge of mixing is required.
Location: Amptec seminar room
Admission fee: 120€ (lunch and refreshments included).
